The Directorate General Health Services Sindh, under its Communicable Disease Control-I (CDC-I) HIV/AIDS Program, has announced contract-based job opportunities for qualified professionals. These vacancies are funded by donor agencies and extensions will depend on performance and continued funding. Candidates possessing a Sindh domicile are encouraged to apply.
The job openings are based at the Opioid Agonist Maintenance Therapy (OAMT) Center, located at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, Karachi, and all positions offer fixed salaries.
Below are the details for the currently available positions:
1. Psychiatrist
- Qualification: MBBS with a Postgraduate Degree in Psychiatry or an equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC/HEC.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Psychiatrist in the relevant field is mandatory.
- Maximum Age Limit: 33 years (Age relaxation will be granted as per Government rules).
2. Psychologist
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, duly recognized by HEC, with valid registration.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in:
- A Multi-Disciplinary Clinical Setting, or
- As a Mental Health Care Services Provider in Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation.
- (Preference will be given to candidates with such experience.)
- Maximum Age Limit: 33 years (Age relaxation applicable under Government rules).
3. Nurse
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, registered with the Pakistan Nursing Council.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant field.
- Maximum Age Limit: 33 years (Age relaxation as per Government policy).
